TARANTINO'S WWII FILM TO START SHOOTING IN OCTOBER

Rumour has it Tarintino's new film,
Inglorious Bastards, being co-financed by The Weinstein company will begin shooting in October.

A tale about a gang of soldiers behind enemy lines in World War II, this should certainly be different to his previous films. I'm guessing, like
300, it'll be history with a modern twist, possibly action scenes set to rock, fast cuts etc. Maybe Quentin could actually pull it off too. I can picture the scene now as they are about to land on the beaches of Normandy, "Do you know what they call a quarter pounder with cheese in France?", they had burgers back then, didn't they?

Expect to see this film released some time around June, 2009.

WRESTLING FANS RAGE DUE TO BRUNO STUNT

There have been many reports of uproar during Sacha Baron Cohen's filming of mockumentary Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner in a Mesh T-Shirt, most notably getting an interview with Californian governor Arnold Schwarzenegger who was unaware he was going into a mock interview.

His latest stunt sent a crowd of wrestling fans into a frenzy of beer lobbing rage as the actors put into the wrestling cage began to strip down to their underwear before kissing and dry-humping each other in front of the furious fans. Who can blame them? They pay good money to see rugged men with rippling muscles grope each others sweaty bodies for hours on end and are greeted instead with this out-of-the-blue homosexuality. The actors had to exit in an escape tunnel made for the likely event that things would turn ugly. Police sergeant Adam Holland said "“It set the crowd off lobbing beers... Those things can get some distance on them actually.” "It just ain't natural!" said one of the audience members, probably.

They are still currently filming Bruno and it's dated for release on the 15th of May 2009.

NEW TROPIC THUNDER TRAILER

An international trailer has just been put up on the official UK Tropic Thunder site. I have to say it's looking like it'll be pretty entertaining if this and the restricted trailer are anything to go by.

Tropic Thunder is an action comedy where three actors are unknowingly placed into a real conflict whilst shooting a Vietnam movie, starring Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black.
I think this could be potentially be amazing, possibly due to the way the trailer had me laughing all the way through, possibly due to my giant man crush on Robert Downey Jr., who knows? What I do know is that I'll be going to see this on the 19th of September (you yanks can go see it in the 15th of August) and that Mr. Downey Jr. will be in my dreams tonight.

The restricted trailer can also be found on the same site by the way.

DONKEY BONG

To promote the summer release of the newest Rogen/Appatow movie Pineapple Express a flash game has been put up here. It's basically Donkey Kong, Pineapple Express style but if you have a few minutes to kill it should do the trick.

This promising looking stoner action/comedy flick is currently looking to be released 8th of August for the US and the 12th of September for us limeys.

And for those of you who haven't seen the trailer:

NEW WOLVERINE PROMO PHOTO

Above is a new promotional photo for the announced X-Men movie, X-men Origins: Wolverine, seen in this months issue of Empire magazine.
It's nice to see the best character in X-Men get his own film at last, well at least it is if you just spent every scene without Wolverine in it wondering when he'd show his badass self on screen in the previous 2 films, like me.

This is a good opportunity for us to get a deeper look into the character of Wolverine and really become embedded in his character and his dramatic history, more importantly, it's an excuse for him to fuck up everything and anything for a solid non-stop 90 minutes which I'm pretty sure will be the best thing to happen to me since I discovered I can hide my boners in my waistband like the one I'm sporting at the mere thought of this movie. Don't judge me!

See Wolverine tear shit up May 1st, 2009!

KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE

A teaser has been released for the freshly announced doomsday thriller Knowing starring Nicolas Cage which you can watch here. Looking back at some of Nic's latest films I can't really say I expect too much of this except it'll probably be just about watchable like the director's last film, I, Robot.

I hope they stick to their winning formula in The Wicker Man and have Nicolas Cage kicking ass and taking names in a bear suit.

Set to come out 20th of March, 2009.

THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL: TEASER TRAILER RELEASED

A teaser trailer has been released for the upcoming remake of the 50's sci-fi cult classic of the same name which you can see here. The film is being directed by Scott Derrickson whose previous efforts include the direct-to-video flick Hellraiser: Inferno and The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Not what I'd call a promising record and with Keanu "insert emotionless expression joke here" Reeves in the starring role my score predictometer points to average at best.

If you insist on watching this it comes out on the 12th of December this year.

WELCOME TO YET ANOTHER FILM BLOG

I created this blog today as, whilst thinking about films on a level beyond your mortal comprehension, I came to the realisation that not everyone is as brilliantly smart as me and require the guidance of a higher power (me) so that they make the right decisions on their future film related purchases.

Follow my opinions religiously and you may find your quality of life improves dramatically. Yes I do accept donations although I am a humble man and will accept comments collectively fluffing my e-penis.

Lastly my email is seanyc123@gmail.com if you want to agree with my opinions further. I hope you enjoy the read and are grateful that I'm sharing my thoughts for free.
